Cotton yarn exhibitors prepare for spring showcase at Yarn Expo Spring 2025

Cotton is known to be the most commonly used natural fibre in the textile industry. Leading fashion houses and retailers are increasingly incorporating organic cotton into their manufacturing processes and supply chains, resulting in a significant rise in related yarn and fibre demand. Yarn Expo Spring, scheduled for 11 – 13 March 2025, will offer ample opportunities within the cotton sub-sector and a range of suppliers showcasing sustainable options. Overall, over 500 exhibitors from 12 countries and regions are expected to participate, including nearly 90 specifically in the cotton category.

Recent shifts in consumer attitudes in China show a willingness to invest more in quality and a growing emphasis on product functionality. This has been well noted by forward-thinking companies across the home textile supply chain. In addition to the latest related offerings in upholstery, towels, carpets, rugs, curtains and many more, smart bedding is set to emerge as a key trend at the upcoming Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Spring Edition. From 11 to 13 March 2025 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center, visitors can explore these trends and discover the latest innovations, alongside specialised pavilions and a diverse fringe programme centred on sustainability, and smart bedding aiding sleep quality.

Functionality, sustainability prominent as Intertextile Apparel reveals highlighted exhibitors for spring showcase

Featuring over 3,000 exhibitors across 190,000 sqm at Shanghai’s National Exhibition and Convention Center, the show will spotlight a diverse range of products and services. As is the case for most other industries, the textile sector is making bigger strides towards sustainable practices. This trend is apparent throughout the value chain, with one promising development being the increasing use of recycled materials and bio-based fibres in functional textiles. Having gained prominence at recent editions of Intertextile Apparel, functional sustainability will be in evidence across the fairground at the upcoming Spring Edition, and in particular at two of the show’s featured zones – Econogy Hub and Functional Lab.
