Texworld NYC Marks 20 Years of Global Sourcing with Milestone Summer 2026 Edition

31 Aug 2026

Texworld NYC concluded its milestone 20th Anniversary edition, held July 29–31 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, celebrating two decades of connecting the global textile and fashion sourcing community in New York City. Together with Apparel Sourcing NYC, Home Textiles Sourcing, and co-located event Printsource, the Summer 2026 edition brought together thousands of industry professionals and over 430 exhibitors representing 15+ countries for three days of sourcing, education, trend discovery, connection.

Since its New York debut in 2006, Texworld NYC has evolved alongside a rapidly changing industry, expanding from a traditional textile sourcing event into a comprehensive platform connecting international manufacturers and suppliers with buyers, designers, brands, retailers, and sourcing professionals from across the United States and beyond. The 20th Anniversary edition honored that history while placing a clear focus on what comes next.

“The way we source, create, connect, and do business has changed dramatically over the past two decades, and this community has changed with it. For three days, we were able to celebrate where we’ve been while watching new ideas, partnerships, and possibilities for the next generation of the industry take shape right in front of us,” said Jennifer Bacon, Vice President, Fashion and Apparel Shows, Messe Frankfurt, Inc.

The celebration continued on the show floor with a special installation tracing Texworld NYC’s 20-year history. Archival show imagery, fashion and sourcing milestones, and trend moments from across the decades offered attendees a look back at how both the event and the industry have transformed since 2006.

Three dedicated international pavilions further highlighted the global reach of the event. Apparel Sourcing NYC welcomed the Uzbekistan and Pakistan Pavilions, and Texworld NYC the Taiwan Pavilion, giving attendees direct access to suppliers and manufacturing capabilities from each region.

Home Textiles Sourcing brought a dedicated home-focused sourcing component to the Summer 2026 edition, connecting attendees with manufacturers and suppliers of fabrics and finished soft goods for a range of home applications. The show floor reflected the global nature of the home textiles industry, with exhibitors representing China, India, Poland, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Hong Kong, Pakistan, Vietnam, and the United States. From materials and textiles to finished home products, the show provided buyers, designers, retailers, and sourcing professionals with direct access to international manufacturing capabilities and new resources for upcoming collections.

Co-located event Printsource further expanded the sourcing experience with a dedicated focus on original surface and textile design. Its international studios and artists presented prints, patterns, and creative artwork for applications across fashion, home, and related product categories, giving attendees another resource for inspiration and product development while creating new opportunities for crossover between the co-located events.

The Textile Talks education series brought together experts from across fashion, sourcing, sustainability, technology, and business for conversations around the issues shaping the industry today. Sessions explored topics ranging from evolving supply chains and material innovation to artificial intelligence, circularity, consumer behavior, what’s next in trends, and the future of fashion.

Hands-on education complemented the Textile Talks lineup through Tech Pack Workshops led by Xochil Herrera Scheer of The Chicago Pattern Maker. With both foundational and advanced sessions offered, participants gained practical guidance for developing stronger tech packs and improving communication throughout the product development and manufacturing process.

The Texworld Trend Showcase, curated by Peclers Paris, translated Fall/Winter 2027/28 forecasts into a curated display of fabrics, colors, textures, and emerging directions. The showcase gave attendees a tangible look at upcoming influences and provided inspiration for future collections and product development.

The Innovation Hub returned with an expanded look at the technologies, materials, and solutions shaping the industry's future. Through next-generation materials, emerging technology, and new approaches to product development and production, the dedicated area gave attendees an opportunity to explore innovation beyond traditional sourcing and connect directly with the companies and innovators behind it. Innovation continued at the Exhibitor Pitch, powered by Texpertise, giving participating suppliers a dedicated platform to present their latest products, capabilities, and solutions directly to an industry audience.

Together, Texworld NYC, Apparel Sourcing NYC, Home Textiles Sourcing, and Printsource created a comprehensive sourcing destination spanning textiles, apparel manufacturing, home textiles, and surface design, giving attendees access to complementary resources across the creative and global sourcing supply chain.

Texworld NYC, Apparel Sourcing NYC, and co-located event Printsource will return to the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center January 19–21, 2027, bringing the global sourcing community back together for the Winter 2027 edition.
