As health comes first, the restrictions in place and the government’s decision concerning the prohibition of large events make absolute sense – that is something we fully understand, accept and support.
Nevertheless, this is not an easy step for us, especially as we know how much of a huge effort participating requires of you and also how important an event like Neonyt is for the business success of everyone involved. We, the management of Messe Frankfurt, would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank our all parties involved: for their understanding, their support and their continued positivity.
Yet we are still confident that the situation will have eased in a few months and that it might even be possible, subject to specific arrangements, to hold the event at a later date – which is why we will continue to evaluate the possibility of scheduling the event in late summer. Plus, we are already considering lots of other ways in which the tradeshow concept could be adapted to this unprecedented situation, such as initial ideas for a virtual/digital format. So our non-binding exhibitor registration for Neonyt remains open: on the condition that in all steps we are planning, the health and economic situation of our exhibitors, partners and visitors is paramount.
We remain in close contact with other market participants and the responsible authorities in Berlin. Our aim is to offer the industry a safe, upbeat and forward-looking setting as a valuable incentive for doing business after the crisis. That’s why we are doing everything in our power to arrange a presentation platform for the industry in the second half of the year – in whatever form and on whatever date that may be – and we will keep everyone informed about the latest developements in good time.
