The fashion and textile sectors are currently undergoing a process of fundamental transformation. Technological advances and the strategic implementation of sustainability matters are testimony to a new understanding of innovation and driving forward a change process from which all stakeholders can profit. To provide these major topics of the fashion industry with a platform, Messe Frankfurt is launching the new conference format FashionSustain during Berlin Fashion Week. Together with the FashionTech conference by the Premium Group, which is also taking place at Kraftwerk, the event duo acts as both a source of inspiration and a place where all stakeholders from the textile supply chain can exchange multidisciplinary information on applied innovation topics.
On 17 January 2018, FashionSustain will be presenting the driving forces that will revolutionise the fashion and textile sector. The unique incubator platform brings together international keynote speakers and new formats of a multidisciplinary, interactive dialogue set against the impressive backdrop of Kraftwerk Berlin to form a completely new conference format. Future-oriented talks will be complemented by the modern, creative context of a Thinkathon and a highly inspiring Smart Fashion Showcase.
The conference, which is open to the public and will be attended by high-profile, international decision-makers from the fashion and sportswear industry, will take place on Wednesday, 17 January 2018 at Kraftwerk Berlin. Together with the two trade fairs Greenshowroom and Ethical Fashion Show Berlin, this makes event venue Kraftwerk Berlin the biggest green hub for fair fashion and the sustainable lifestyle – not only during Berlin Fashion Week, but throughout Europe.
