Whether for wind energy, aerospace or the automobile industry – composites play an integral role in modern manufacturing sectors. Lightweight, clean composite materials have been identified as a key technology for manufacturing. Parallel to Techtextil India, which is taking place from 20-22 November 2019 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai, the World of Composites Pavilion will be showcasing these cutting-edge technologies and end-to-end solutions. As the leading international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens in India, Techtextil India is set to once again attract a highly promising audience of professional visitors and thereby open the gates to new business ventures.
According to predictions, the Indian composites industry is expected to generate a turnover of two billion US dollars by 2021 with an annual growth rate of 14 percent. Government projects like the development of smart cities, sanitation and water infrastructure and renewable energies are the drivers of this growth. To mark the launch of the new pavilion, Raj Manek, Executive Director and Board Member of Messe Frankfurt Asia Holding Ltd, said the following: “In response to the industry’s growing need for composite solutions and innovative engineering, we are pleased to announce the launch of World of Composites that will take place alongside Techtextil India 2019. While there is a great scope for the composites industry to cater to the global market, the most significant growth driver for the trade and technology of composites is the huge untapped potential of the domestic market, which will gain momentum through this platform.”
