Paris, the city of love, poetry – and fashion. The European metropolis defines the global fashion market. Here, in the birthplace of haute couture, Paris Fashion Week, as the last of the “Big Four” after New York, London and Milan, concludes the show marathon. And twice a year at the city’s well-known sourcing fairs, the attention is on the latest fabric trends.
Every six months, Texworld Paris, the international trade fair for fashion, showcases the full spectrum of textile solutions – from robust cotton and the finest silk down to filigree lace, eye-catching embroidery and sustainable, natural, innovative, recycled or functional materials. Buyers and designers of well-known fashion brands like Adidas and Christian Dior, or retailers like H&M and Zara can browse the latest innovations by around 950 fabric producers from 27 countries.
For the trade fair organisers and exhibitors, the focus is always on meeting the different requirements of more than 15,000 visitors: directories of exhibitors offering small-scale orders or sustainable textiles help visitors to find the producers they are looking for. Catwalks, conferences and a trend forum inspire and inform about the latest key topics. Texworld Paris is complemented by the two trade fairs Avantex, which puts the spotlight on high-tech and innovative textiles, and Apparel Sourcing Paris, the number one european trade fair for worldwide apparel sourcing. The upcoming edition of the trade fair trio is taking place from 11-14 February 2018 at Paris-Le Bourget.
