Summer is calling and awakening a longing in us for the endlessness of the sea. For the chance to authentically experience foreign cultures. For peaceful summer houses surrounded by dry fields and vast expanses. From natural materials and harmonious colour palettes that remind us of Mediterranean landscapes under a cloudless sky, to folklore details that evoke associations with exotic lifestyles. The collections oscillate between loud and quiet, strong and delicate, subtle and striking. However, they all have one thing in common: the fact that they are an homage to the vast open spaces awaiting us outside of the cities and their invigorating energy. Whether influenced by the close cooperation with artisan communities around the world and the wish to preserve traditional craftmanship techniques or inspired by the uniqueness of nature – the SS19 collections by the exhibitors of tradeshow duo Greenshowroom and Ethical Fashion Show Berlin are very much conveying a desire for summer, faraway places and freedom.
From 3 to 5 July 2018, the Greenshowroom and the Ethical Fashion Show Berlin will again bring together well-known labels, up-and-coming new faces and the leading lights of the fair fashion scene. Together with the new conference format FashionSustain, the event venue Kraftwerk Berlin is the largest green hub for sustainable fashion and lifestyle – not only during Berlin Fashion Week, but throughout Europe.
