The ongoing corona pandemic is driving digitalisation forward in many sectors. The trade shows Texworld USA, Apparel Sourcing USA and Home Textiles Sourcing Expo will show how showrooms, discussions with international retailers and an exciting fringe programme can also function online by creating a virtual platform for their summer editions. Instead of the three scheduled trade show days in the Javits Convention Center in New York City, the digital event will be accessible the entire week from 20 to 24 July – from all over the world.
Open for innovation, close to the market: For more than a century, Messe Frankfurt has demonstrated its sixth sense for what is needed at a particular time. “This was a pivotal decision in ensuring the future success of the shows. Amending the platform for this edition allowed us to be considerate of the changing textile industry and global business climate,” says Constantin von Vieregge, President and CEO of Messe Frankfurt North America. New platform, same provisions: The digital event will include a virtual showroom with material innovations and chats with the international exhibitors will also be enabled. An additional educational programme will offer insight into topics such as procurement options during a pandemic, sustainability initiatives and general business tips.
