Are virtual prototypes also suitable for resale products? How can quality assurance be combined with shorter lead times? How is Amazon influencing investments, patents and the future? Which changes triggered by Industry 4.0 are already part of the value chain? What is the future of responsible shoe production? And is sustainability the key to textile innovation?
Digitisation and sustainability are currently the dominant themes in the textile processing industry and trade. The Texprocess Forum (14 to 17 May 2019) will focus on these pressing issues and provide extensive expertise for textile processors, users and retailers. Fittingly, for the first time Messe Frankfurt will also bring part of its Fashionsustain conference from Berlin to Frankfurt. The innovative conference format fosters dialogue among the trailblazers of sustainable textile innovations and uses the industry’s synergies to revolutionise processes and production flows.
The innovation roadshow “The Future of Eco-Conscious Footwear Manufacturing” will illustrate sustainable shoe manufacturing and show how the sustainability revolution in the fashion and textile industry can become reality today. Sustainability will also form the focus of contributions on the recycling economy and its integration in product development, vegan textiles, and sustainable CSR management and audit solutions for full transparency.
Also in the scope of the Texprocess Forum, the association VDMA Textile Care, Fabric and Leather Technologies will focus on the theme Industry 4.0, the DTB (Dialog Textil-Bekleidung e.V.) on digitisation in the textile value chain and the World Textile Information Network WTiN on other innovation themes in textile processing.
