Trends and technologies, insights and inspiration are key to the seminar series of trade shows Texworld and Apparel Sourcing New York City, which will once again enlighten the industry from 12th to 14th January 2021, on a digital platform accessible to everybody. The focus will be on sustainable practices and the fight against climate change.

More than 4,000 active users from 93 countries, more than 40,000 messages exchanged, more than 30,000 products listed - these are the results of the virtual trade show's successful debut in July this year and the upcoming winter edition of sourcing events Texworld and Apparel Sourcing New York City will also spread its word digitally worldwide. The shows' popular seminar series will also be broadcast online from 12th to 14th January 2021. Participants include various industry experts and visionary brands like Tracy Reese, Lenzing, The Gap, Textile Exchange and Madewell. “As we continue to move through these difficult times, we are elated at the high caliber of speakers and brands supporting our events. Climate change must be nipped in the bud. The fashion and textile industry’s potential to make a a positive impact on our planet is biggest in the field of sourcing. Sustainability has been the top issue for the past years, but what are the latest trends and technologies to face today’s challenges? In a speech, designer Tracy Reese will explain which role local production plays in her latest collection. And how local production can change the industry. From Farm to Fashion is the name of another Textile Talk dedicated to regenerative farming and the role it plays in reaching environmental targets. But the worries and challenges of smaller and new designers will also be discussed in detail and possible solutions offered. “Today’s marketplace requires a new approach and we are pleased that Texworld and Apparel Sourcing New York City have proven to be agile in meeting the needs of our customers by keeping them informed.
