July 2021

Strong together: Messe Frankfurt India and MEX Exhibitions Pvt Ltd have tied in with the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) for the upcoming edition of Gartex Texprocess India. The aim is to build even stronger connections between the textile and apparel industry. The CITI represents the most important industry players in India and covers the entire textile value chain, from cotton growing and garment production to the textile machinery industry. Commenting on the developments, Mr Raj Manek, Executive Director and Board Member, Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd, shared: “We are glad to join hands with the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) and believe that the support and reach of CITI will bring in strong value to the fabric segment of our trade fair while opening doors to lucrative business engagements for the industry.”

The date for the first joint venture has already been fixed: From 3–5 December 2021, exhibitors and buyers will meet on-site in New Delhi and online on the trade show's digital platform.  The virtual platform will actually launch on 16 July with the Digital Symposium series, highlighting emerging trends in the industry leading up to the hybrid edition in December. There will be a strong focus on sustainability topics, ranging from recycling and the circular economy to innovative fibres.

Gartex Texprocess India will take place at the same time as Screen Print India, India's leading trade show for the screen and digital printing industry. The trade show will create synergies between the different segments of the industry. Both events were originally scheduled for August 2021 and are now postponed until December due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Following the New Delhi edition, the Mumbai edition of Screen Print India will be hosted as a hybrid fair from 21 - 23 April 2022 at Bombay Exhibition Centre, alongside Gartex Texprocess India Mumbai edition
