Trade Show: Cinte Techtextil China

High on growth

Technical textiles and non-woven fabrics are in strong demand. They are needed in construction, transportation, medicine and many other sectors. From 2nd to 4th September 2020, Cinte Techtextil China will turn into a sourcing hotspot for the textile industry.

September 2019

Cinte Techtextil China will take place at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from 2nd to 4th September 2020. For the third time the biennial event will present the latest technical textiles and non-woven fabrics at this location. In 2018, around 485 exhibitors from 22 countries and regions showed their product novelties. 13,300 visitors travelled from 55 countries and regions to the international industry gathering. Cinte Techtextil China’s product categories cover 12 application areas spanning the entire range of current textile technologies including raw materials and finishing techniques as well as finished fabrics. One third of exhibitors are overseas companies and will be showing in the “International Hall”.

Despite the trade dispute between the USA and China, the worldwide technical textiles market and especially the market for non-woven fabrics are growing. Trade journal AVR even anticipates a permanent annual sales growth of 5% . [1] Wendy Wen, Senior General Manager at Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, is also optimistic about the future, stating that “China’s technical textiles and nonwovens market has been a star performer of late and has been relatively immune to the macro influences affecting other parts of the country’s economy. This is due to a number of underlying factors, including booming infrastructure and construction sectors, technology upgrading in China’s various manufacturing industries, continued urbanisation and rising living standards, and increasing awareness of environmental protection to name a few”.

Cinte Techtextil China is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd together with the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT, and China Nonwovens & Industrial Textiles Association (CNITA).
