Covid-19 drives new innovations

Technical textiles against Covid-19. The industry reacted swiftly to the corona crisis. Producers of technical textiles have contributed to fighting the pandemic by developing new products and technical solutions. Cinte Techtextil China is creating a dedicated platform for these companies at the autumn edition, which will take place from 2nd to 4th September 2020. The trade show will debut a Medical and Protective Zone.

From a niche into the limelight. For its 2nd to 4th September 2020 edition, Cinte Techtextil China will launch a new area dedicated to textile products and technologies focused on epidemic prevention. “We would like to give these suppliers as much visibility as possible to showcase their expertise and capabilities at Asia’s leading fair for the sector, hence the creation of the new Medical and Protective Zone at Cinte Techtextil China in September”, says Wendy Wen, Senior General Manager at Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd.

The trade show organiser is also extending the exhibitor registration deadline for Cinte Techtextil China and is launching a new business matching service. Visitors to the biennial trade show for technical textiles and nonwovens in the Shanghai New International Expo Centre can now pre-register for the event and use the new tool. It allows buyers to schedule appointments with exhibitors onsite in advance.

The Chinese sister event of German Techtextil in Frankfurt am Main attracted 13,203 visitors from 55 countries and regions at its last edition in 2018. Around 40% of the 485 exhibitors had travelled to Shanghai from abroad.
