Anticipation has already started to spread among exhibitors and visitors wishing to exchange views and information in person. From 6th to 8th September 2022, the industry will get together again at Cinte Techtextil China. The hybrid edition in June 2021 was a great success, with more than 360 exhibitors, some 15,000 visitors and a digital and physical programme. The June edition was special because the trade show was staged after a year for the first time instead of taking place every two years. “Feedback from our exhibitors this year was that the Chinese market is still growing strongly and having an annual edition allows them to benefit from growth opportunities on a more regular basis," said Wendy Wen, Senior General Manager at Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd. "The domestic economy has shown strong resilience in 2020 and also in 2021 so far. This has allowed the technical textiles and nonwovens sector to maintain the growth momentum it experienced over the past years. As more economies return to normal in 2022, we expect export orders for the sector to receive a further boost, which will benefit overseas companies that do business in the Chinese market,” she added.
Response from exhibitors has been unanimously positive in 2021. “After exhibiting at the fair for the first time last year, we thought it was great, so we came back this year. The quality of the buyers is good, and we’ve found some new potential clients already. China is the only stable market at the moment, so I’m definitely optimistic about the prospects here. And it makes sense to hold the fair once a year as the domestic nonwovens industry is experiencing rapid growth,” said Eric Ni, Senior Manager at Cotton Council International.
