Trade Show: Cinte Techtextil China

The industry takes stock

Whether it was on site or online, the past Cinte Techtextil China was a big success. From 22nd to 24th June 2021, participants in the event were able to network in person at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre or online on the Techtextil Digital Days platform.

July 2021

Cinte Techtextil China is celebrating a double success. More than 360 exhibitors and almost 15,000 visitors came together either in person at the event at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre or online at the new Techtextil Digital Days platform to exchange views and information. Response from the industry is unanimously positive: "As we experienced at the 2020 edition last September, there has been a lot of positive feedback on the benefits of meeting in-person to conduct business, so we are glad to have provided this platform for the industry once again,” said Wendy Wen, Senior General Manager at Messe Frankfurt. “The Chinese technical textiles and nonwovens market is still experiencing high demand, especially for environmental protection and anti-bacterial products, and many participants anticipate this growth to continue in the near future," she continued.

Getting together on a regular basis is very important for the companies in the industry. And they are delighted to know that from now on international contacts can be established every year at Cinte Techtextil China. "It’s beneficial to hold the fair annually. You have the opportunity to meet more people each time and every year people have different requirements," said Roberto Galante, Plant Manager, FMMG Technical Textiles (Suzhou) Co Ltd.

The newly launched Techtextil Digital Days platform was also well received. On the platform, which was started to complement the hybrid trade show, exhibitors and buyers from all over the world had the opportunity to meet. "We participated in Techtextil Digital Days and I think both online and offline exhibitions will become trends in the industry," said Parry, Manager at Zhejiang Hontex New Material Co Ltd, who, however, believes that getting together in person continues to play a key role for business. "Following on from the impacts of the pandemic, the fair has been a good opportunity for us to adjust our business strategies to capture more opportunities and meet with more clients in China. We will always support the fair and will exhibit again next year," he added.
