A Leap in Demand

In the current circumstances, technical textiles are becoming increasingly relevant. The industry has a huge potential for growth. The first hybrid edition of Techtextil India, held from 1–3 September 2021, will connect the segment's international players.

January 2021

Strict hygiene protocols are being enforced worldwide in order to curb the spread of coronavirus. The demand for medical textiles, especially spunbond nonwovens, has escalated ever since. But other innovations in the field of technical textiles have also experienced a strong leap in demand: In India in particular, the increased interest in geotextiles, including nonwoven covering materials, is due not least to the government's many investments in the highway infrastructure. With the segment's potential in mind, Techtextil India will open its doors from 1–3 September 2021 with a hybrid trade show format at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai. Here, exhibitors, buyers and suppliers from all over the world will be able to build networks and showcase innovations either in person or on digital platforms.

Live streaming, video calls, live chats: Techtextil India's range of digital provisions will enable exhibitors to interact in person with potential buyers. In addition, live product demonstrations will allow them to showcase their innovative technologies to a wide audience, both online and on location. The use of AI-assisted platforms makes networking especially simple: potential suppliers will be automatically matched when buyers launch queries, enabling virtual appointments to be arranged at short notice. Furthermore, visitors to the trade show can look forward to online panel discussions and other interactive programmes providing well-informed insights into the market. Anyone wishing to attend trade show in person must be prepared to put safety first: strict hygiene protocols will be in place for the benefit of all participants.

Techtextil India, which will take place from 1–3 September 2021, gives industry players the opportunity to build networks, gain in-depth insights and prepare for the "new normal" beyond the pandemic period.
