December 2020

The Spring Edition of Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai from 10–12 March 2021 will ensure an exciting start to the trade show year for the home textiles industry. To guarantee an extensive range of products for trade visitors, Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles and the textile events Yarn Expo Spring, CHIC and PH Value will run concurrently. Textiles such as bedding, towelling and rugs will be showcased alongside home textile technologies or products designs. Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles offers an appealing platform to present new products and innovations: The 2019 edition attracted just under 300 exhibitors from ten countries and more than 22,000 visitors from 60-plus countries, among them manufacturers, designers and retailers as well as trading companies and hotels.

Which exhibitors will we participate in spring 2021? In addition to many major industry players, the Lenzing Group – the leading producer of manmade cellulose fibres – has already confirmed its participation in the show. Lesley Wu, Manager of Home Textile Business Development at Lenzing, says: "We decided to exhibit at Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles because it is an influential trade fair for the industry. As the Lenzing Group has been expanding in the home textile market, we want to use this platform to showcase the applications for TENCEL™ branded fibres in home textiles, and to further promote sustainability through our TENCEL™ Home cellulosic fibres.”

The pandemic has unsettled the textile world, presenting not only new challenges, but also opportunities in respect of sustainability. “Without a doubt, environmental protection and sustainable development are the hottest topics in today’s society. Consumers are paying more attention to healthy lifestyles and looking to make a shift to green consumption as a result of the pandemic. More and more consumers are opting for functional and sustainable raw materials. Environmentally sustainable fibres are therefore gaining popularity,” states Wu. Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles therefore offers exhibitors producers and consumers an ideal opportunity to network, discover new innovations and shape a more sustainable future for the industry together.

Online pre-registration for Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles is now open for all visitors.
