Trade Show: Heimtextil Russia

Promising anniversary edition

Twenty-year anniversary, almost fully booked exhibition grounds and numerous special events: from 18-20 September 2018, Heimtextil Russia will once again be bringing the leading players of the international textile industry together at the Crocus Expo exhibition complex in Moscow.

March 2018

Heimtextil Russia is celebrating its 20th birthday this year. And the recovering textile market is providing another reason to celebrate. One indication of this recovery is the enthusiastic rush of exhibitors – three quarters of space on the exhibition grounds have already been booked. Over the years, the trade fair, which takes place annually from 18-20 September at the IEC Crocus Expo in Moscow, has gained a reputation as the leading business platform for professionals from the textile industry in Russia and the CIS countries. This is where the key players of the international textile market come together to network, discover innovative products and find new business partners.

The high number of participants and the return of a considerable number of exhibitors who have already showcased their products at previous editions of Heimtextil Russia are the best proof that the textile market is experiencing a revival. National pavilions from Germany, China, Iran, Turkey and Pakistan have already been confirmed. The high density of exhibitors from the contract textiles sector can be seen as a reaction to the growing demand: Russia’s domestic tourism is currently booming and the construction of new hotels for the upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup is one aspect of this development. For the first time, the new exhibition format CarpetLab exposition is giving carpet and rug manufacturers from countries such as Iran, Turkey, Pakistan and Turkmenistan the opportunity to present their varied offers to a professional audience.

The trade fair will be accompanied by an extended programme of accompanying events, special areas and a variety of conference formats and discussions. Professional visitors will also have the opportunity to take part in exclusive guided tours, during which industry experts will inform them about the latest textile design trends and show them around the booths of selected, pioneering exhibitors. These tours give visitors a fantastic opportunity to filter out the products that are relevant to them and to gain an overview of the fair and its extensive array of products on show.
