The “Green Directory”, a special list of exhibitors focused on sustainable production published by Heimtextil for the tenth time, features 250 companies. The number has increased sharply and is a high as ever. At next January’s Heimtextil edition, visitors can take “Green Tours” and get information about state-of-the-art sustainably produced materials in hall 3.0 on more than 2,000 square metres. The focus will be on recyclable fabrics and so-called “living” textiles, textiles made from renewable, in part compostable, raw materials. In hall 12.0, certification and seal providers offer support to companies aiming at a more sustainable production. For the first time, the United Nations will be present with its 17 Sustainable Development Goals, which include the promotion of renewable energy sources and sustainable water management.
Big names also in hall 11.0. In the “Smart Bedding” area, 140 industry players will show their new products and offer concrete solutions for healthy sleep. Visitors will be able to meet and talk with sleep specialist such as the scientists from Berlin Charité, Fraunhofer Institut and German Sleep Society Deutsche Gesellschaft für Schlafforschung. There will be lectures on the issue by the likes of Ikea and Hästings at the “Sleep! The Future Forum”.
A total of around 3,000 exhibitors from all over the world will show their new products in Frankfurt from 7th to 10th January 2020, including 50 interior design specialists from the textile editing business, which will present their latest collections in hall 8.0. In hall 9.0, suppliers of decorative cushions, blankets and plaids, table and kitchen linen will present their products together with lifestyle-oriented accessories. For its 50th anniversary edition, Heimtextil will take visitors on a voyage of time travel and discovery here. The trade show will showcase design classics of the past 50 years at in specially dedicated area.
