August 2019

Seven halls, 1,150 exhibitors from 27 countries and regions: From 28 to 30 August, Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles will showcase the latest products and technologies for the home and contract textiles sector in the National Exhibition and Convention Center. “Not only has the visitor number increased from last year, but with the visitor preregistration numbers tracking well ahead of last year’s figures in the months leading up to the fair, we are expecting a strong turnout from buyers as well”, says Wendy Wen, Senior General Manager Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd. In 2018 the trade show welcomed almost 40,000 international trade buyers.

The programme of events for the 25th Autumn Edition has been revamped to place a focus on four new topics. These include Design Inspiration: residential and commercial textile trends; Business O2O: online to offline commerce; Textile & Technology: digital printing solutions and green designs; and Industry Empowerment: global licensing trends and opportunities. Design Inspiration covers a particularly varied range of events, from the Round Table Design Talk ‘Design for a better Life’ on day one and guided tours of furnishings for hotels, offices and commercial premises, to the dedicated area 2020 China Home Textile Trends. The Talks & Tours programme featuring renowned international designers is another highlight: Peter Ippolito, Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Ippolito Fleitz Group, hosts the seminar ‘The Fabrics of Living’, which will be followed by a topical guided tour. Toshiyuki Kita, Professor at the Osaka University of Arts, addresses ‘The Past, Present and Future of Furnishing Design’.

Visitors can pre-register online for trade fair tickets – which also provide free entry to the fringe programme events – until 27 August 2019.
