Attractive, high quality – and flame-resistant: contract textiles not only have to look good, but also fulfil certain requirements. Being familiar with the specific requirements of the industry is crucial if you want to be able to offer the right solutions. From 27-30 August 2018, Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles will be bringing national and international architects, hoteliers, interior designers and industry experts together with leading textile companies at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. During the Contract Business Days on 28 and 29 August they will be able to share their insights on design, the market, materials and project management.
Exciting speakers will also be providing insights into their work: as part of the panel entitled “The Art of Sustainable Interior Design”, design consultant Naima A. Khan from The Green Design will be talking about sustainable materials, therapeutic colour schemes and the conscious use of sunlight. Martin Oliu from international design company Harmony World Consultant and Design will also be sharing his experience in the design of luxury residential and hotel projects. At a showcase in hall 5.1, interior designers will be presenting the functionality of various home and contract textiles.
An advanced digital printing system, Allegro & Cut by Kornit Allegro, will be presented in the digital printing Micro Factory. By combining printing and drying, the machine removes the need for a lot of additional production steps. It is also eco-friendly as one single ink set is suitable for different fabric types, and designs can be printed in shapes and sizes that are ready for cutting.
