Brave new working world

With the corona crisis, our own four walls have not only been a home and a safe haven in the past months, but also the place where we worked. What does the ideal workspace at home look like? Solutions for a more comfortable way of working from home will be presented to visitors at IFFT / Interior Lifestyle Living from 28th to 30th October 2020.

July 2020

During the past months, we have again and again been confronted with the question how to turn our home into the ideal working place. Answers to these and other questions will be offered at IFFT / Interior Lifestyle Living, when it takes place in the south halls of Tokyo Big Sights from 28th to 30th October 2020. In the "Work Place Mix" area, architectural designers Makoto Tanijiri and Ai Yoshida will present progressive trends and concepts for working from home. This new area will add to the established and popular "Creative Resource" area at IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living, which shows innovative interior design materials offering inspiration to producers, architects, designers and developers alike.

There will be something for everybody. The "Home", "Accent" and "Everyday" areas will showcase lifestyle products for all rooms in a home as well as accessories and household items. Kitchen lovers will also have a good time in the "Foodist" and "Kitchen Life" areas, which present practical food packaging designs and innovative kitchen items. The newest designs from internationally renowned brands can be seen in the "Movement" area. Young rising designers can present their work in the "Talents" and "Next" areas. The winner of the "Young Designer Awards" will be picked from these two areas. The award's goal is to motivate the next generation of interior designers. The winner can look forward to visiting German trade show Ambiente 2021 in Frankfurt. There will also be the "Best Buyer's Choice" for the most popular product at IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living.
