From 27-30 August 2018, the autumn edition of Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles filled six halls of the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. A varied product offer was presented to around 41,000 visitors by 1,040 exhibitors from 30 countries and regions. The newly launched “Contract Business 360°” concept was introduced to help buyers better navigate their way around the fair. The new signage made it easier for them to find suitable exhibitors and make the most out of their visit. Showcases and seminars on the topic of contract textiles complemented the concept. The seminar “The Art of Sustainability Interior Design”, for example, covered the sustainability aspects of interior textiles, while “Textile Use in Architecture” discussed the use of textiles in building construction.
Innovative and cross-industry thinking is fundamental if companies want to survive on the fast-paced market for home textiles. That is why the Digital Printing Micro Factory presented new opportunities in digital printing. And visitors also enjoyed live demonstrations during the fair: “I am impressed by the Digital Printing Micro Factory, where I learnt about the advanced technologies and ideas for emerging trends. We have also learnt a lot from the digital printing seminar speakers,” said Jia Dongdong, Business Supervisor at the digital printing company Shanghai ANOKY Digital Technology Co., Ltd.
The next edition of Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles will be taking place in March 2019.
