Virtual help for New York

Solidarity in hard times. The coronavirus crisis is not only driving digitalisation, it is also bringing forth many charitable projects. Texworld USA, Apparel Sourcing USA and Home Textiles Sourcing have joined forces with the Food Bank For New York City to help New Yorkers in need. The three leading trade show organised by Messe Frankfurt will do so by using their virtual summer event, which will take place from 20th to 23rd July 2020.

Thanks to their hometown. Texworld USA, Apparel Sourcing USA and Home Textiles Sourcing will make a donation each to the Food Bank For New York City for every registered attendee that participates in the joint digital edition, running from 20th to 23rd July 2020. By doing so, the events are thanking New York City, which has hosted the trade shows at the Javits Convention Center twice a year for more than a decade. "It is during these unprecedented times that organizations must reaffirm a commitment to serve. We are doing just that with this partnership and again with our own events as we move to a virtual platform for the summer 2020 edition, to ensure that we continue to support the textile sourcing community as well", said Jennifer Bacon, Show Director, Fashion and Apparel.

The digital event offers a virtual showroom with material innovations and chats with international exhibitors. There is also an educational programme covering issues such as sourcing options in a pandemic, sustainability initiatives and general business tips. Registration is open now.
