Fast, cost-saving, exact and sustainable – digital structural change promises optimisation on all levels. But what are the true benefits of digitalisation? How does it really look in practice? The good news is that the future is looking bright!
Technology will have a decisive influence on the future of the fashion industry. Many companies are still facing the challenges of implementing change in all aspects of their corporate culture and structure and actively driving forward the digitalisation process themselves. At the Re’aD Summit, which is taking place on 15 November 2018 in Düsseldorf, practical solutions and guidelines for the digital transformation of the entire supply chain will be offered and users will be sharing their practical knowledge with users: under this year’s title “Colour, Design and Surface Matching in Digital Communication and Production”, decision-makers from the sectors of IT, design, production and logistics will be providing insights into the latest digital product developments. Above all, software and hardware solutions that have already successfully passed the practical test will be presented: from colour sourcing to 3D simulation with exact colour and material reproduction on the computer down to virtual prototyping and the forwarding of the relevant information to the production department.
In lectures by companies like Hugo Boss, Adidas and Pantone, the latest technologies for the development of lifestyle products will be introduced on the basis of best-practice examples and discussed in roundtable talks and panel discussions. Under the motto “Think sustainably – act digitally!”, Marte Hentschel (Sourcebook), Holger Max-Lang (Lectra), Anton Schumann (Gherzi), Anita Heiberg (ZyseMe) and Olaf Schmidt (Messe Frankfurt) will, for example, be debating the need for sustainability and digitalisation as a holistic approach and the resulting consequences for the entire clothing industry.
On the exhibition space there will also be the opportunity to find out how changes can be made and optimised step by step through digitalisation in production and sales. All participants can receive in-depth advice for individual company-specific solutions and also test the offers presented there in person.
Re’aD is therefore a must-attend event for decision-makers and experts from the fashion, textile and lifestyle industry who are looking to communicate about digital barriers, future-oriented solutions and best-practice examples.
