One of the largest sourcing events on the American East Coast for designers, fabric buyers and developers: from 23 to 25 July 2018 Texworld USA and Apparel Sourcing USA will attract 715 exhibitors from 18 countries to the Javits Convention Center in New York. During the three-day event visitors will have the opportunity to network directly with top tier suppliers from around the world and to participate in a multitude of free educational sessions.
In focus: the trends for the Autumn/Winter 2019/20 season. The Spotlight display area, curated by Textworld Art Directors Louis Gerin and Gregory Lamaud, based in Paris, will highlight the important themes for trims and accessories this coming season.
“Texworld USA and Apparel Sourcing has made it a priority to give our attendees the best resources to discover the latest innovations and trends with endless access to educational seminars, textile talks and a wide exhibitor offering”, explains Jennifer Bacon, Show Director.
The Resource Row will offer visitors complimentary industry-relevant resources, including business development tools, recycling solutions and education materials. Other provisions will also reflect the trade show’s consistent focus on visitor-orientation, from ethnic sourcing via sustainability and agroforestry to fashion law. An expanded “Explore the Floor” series will feature guided tours that allow attendees to walk the show floor with seasoned industry experts. In collaboration with Fashiondex, the new Local Loft display area will focus on local apparel companies and service providers. The area was developed explicitly for regional buyers seeking local production facilities with an emphasis on low minimum quantities.
At the Home Textiles Sourcing Expo taking place concurrently, international exhibitors will be showcasing innovations in the six product categories bed, bath, table, floor, window and upholstery. An extensive range of seminars and panels will focus this summer on topics relevant to the global home textiles landscape, sustainability, the transfer of fashion trends to the home and colour trends. Home Textiles Today will also host a panel discussion titled “The new home textiles landscape – what’s needed to survive and thrive tomorrow”.
