In many countries and cities lockdowns have been lifted, measures to slow down the spread of the coronavirus pandemic and contact bans are being eased. But the pandemic continues to affect people's lives and work very strongly. It is because of lacking information about regulations on major events and possible travelling restrictions that Messe Frankfurt France sees no other option as to cancel the September edition of Apparel Sourcing, Avantex, Leatherworld, Shawls&Scarves, Texworld and Texworld Denim Paris. “Serious consideration of all these issues and the lack of guarantees that this major event can be organised under good conditions has forced us to take this decision. A difficult decision, but one that is responsible to our visitors, exhibitors and partners,” explains Frédéric Bougeard, President of Messe Frankfurt France.
The trade shows continue to occupy a key position in the sourcing strategies of European buyers for textiles and clothing, leather, alternative materials and fashion accessories. That is proved by the fact that many important international partners have already confirmed their presence in Paris at next year's edition from 1st to 4th February 2021. The Messe Frankfurt France team has already started preparations for the February 2021 edition and is working on various digital solutions to connect suppliers and buyers from September on and give them the opportunity to present their know-how and production capacities.
