It is the comeback for textile trade shows. From 15th to 17th July 2020, Intertextile Shenzhen and the debut of Yarn Expo Shenzhen put China back on the trade show agenda. More than 1,000 exhibitors presented their products on a total space of 60,000 square metres. Various safety and hygiene measures were taken to assure that all participants were safe, including body temperature controls, safety distance regulations and the compulsory wearing of masks on the entire exhibition premises. “We are pleased that Intertextile Shenzhen was able to go ahead as scheduled, providing a trusted platform for the industry to reconnect,” said Wendy Wen, Senior General Manager at Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd. after the trade show concluded.
Four at one blow: as part of a new concept, Intertextile Shenzhen and Yarn Expo Shenzhen took place alongside trade shows CHIC and PH Value. “Through cooperation between the organisers of CHIC and PH Value, we have been able to offer the full textile supply chain by bringing the upstream and downstream of the industry together with these two fairs alongside Intertextile and Yarn Expo,” Wendy Wen continued to explain. More than 42,000 visitors attended the events over three days.
The next step to support the industry's return to a new normality will be taken when the autumn editions of Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics and Yarn Expo take place at the Shenzhen World National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai from 23rd to 25th September 2020.
