Trade fair: Yarn Expo Autumn Shanghai

Networking in the Middle Kingdom

Asia’s top industry event for the international yarn and fibre industry impressed more than 19,000 professional visitors from 84 nations and showcased the full gamut of fibre trends from manmade to eco-friendly.

November 2018

The Yarn Expo trade fair has established itself as the most important sourcing platform in Asia for fibres and yarns. From 15-17 October 2018, exhibitors from a total of fourteen countries presented their newest goods at the National Exhibition Convention Center in Shanghai.

“Our product range was more diverse than ever as exhibitors are increasingly seeing China as the ideal market to introduce their latest innovations,” explained Ms Wendy Wen, Senior General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (Hong Kong). There is currently a high demand for fashionable speciality yarns and premium products in China. And the demand for natural and eco-yarns made of cotton, wool or flax also remained strong and stable at this edition of the fair.

Networking 4.0: Professional visitors from all over the world used the international industry event to maintain contacts and expand existing networks to manufacturers and buyers. The professional organisation at the event itself is regarded as a particular strength of Yarn Expo. Communication tools like the VIP Buyer Programme made it easier for visitors to arrange appointments and meet relevant customers in person.
