Neonyt goes digital

While the Corona pandemic continues to confront trade shows worldwide with challenges, Neonyt, the global hub for fashion, sustainability and innovation, is embarking on new adventures. The trade show’s virtual concept “Neonyt on Air” will kick off on 13th July and run to 17th July 2020. The event’s focus will be on recent developments in the fashion industry, on questions about the current status quo of sustainable fashion and about Frankfurt Fashion Week.

What challenges and chances are the sustainable fashion crowd facing in times of Covid-19? What are the innovations resulting from the quickening digitalisation? And what potential does Frankfurt Fashion Week offer? The first “Neonyt on Air” will be dedicated to these and other questions. From 13th July to 17th July 2020, fashion and digitalisation experts will talk about the issues that are on the mind of the Neonyt community. There will be panel discussions, interviews, Instagram takeovers and video statements on the trade show’s social media channels. The new format adds to the digital ordering possibilities created through a cooperation between Neonyt and its “preferred partners”, B2B online marketplaces The Brand Circular and Joor.

The virtual week will kick off with Show Director Thimo Schwenzfeuer, Creative Director Magdalena Schaffrin, Creative Director Max Gilgenmann and Messe Frankfurt’s Vice President Textiles and Textile Technologies Olaf Schmidt giving an overview over the week. Digital first – on Tuesday morning, The Brand Show, Browzwear and Yoonatech will discuss their visions on producing, processing and selling fashion. In the afternoon, Joor will answer questions about its cooperation with Neonyt. In her Instagram takeover on Wednesday, Thekla Wilkening from Stay Awhile will talk about the Neonyt format Prepeek; then there will be a panel discussion about the fashion industry’s need to move towards more diversity. The consequences of the Corona pandemic will be in the spotlight on Thursday. After Luxiders magazine lets visitors take a peek about what happens backstage at the Editorial Shootings, a panel discussion will focus on problems resulting from supply chain interruptions and cancelled orders. The last day of “Neonyt on Air” will be dedicated entirely to Frankfurt Fashion Week. There will be video statements, and Olaf Schmidt and Anita Tillmann, Managing Director of Premium Group, will explain in an interview how the new ecosytem works, which will be presented in the city in the Rhine-Main region from summer 2021 onwards.

No registration is needed for “Neonyt on Air”. The event’s complete programme is available on the trade show’s Instagram channel and will be accessible on the website after the digital trade show concludes.
