May 2021

A new world, new norms, new trends: Under the theme E.Volution, the Trend Forum at the Autumn/Winter edition of  Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics (25–27 August 2021) will showcase the most in-demand fabrics for the Autumn/Winter seasons 2022–2023. The exhibited samples are divided into four key trends: Resilience, Refuge, Unreason und Booster. Functional, recycled and eco-friendly materials are especially in demand for the coming seasons. Trade show visitors, buyers and suppliers can look forward to discovering selected exhibits curated by a Trend Committee of international trend forecasters from Milan, New York, Paris and Tokyo.

Connecting with nature, freedom, sustainability and innovation are the key themes for the trends of tomorrow. Under the category Resilience, visitors can expect luxurious, durable fabrics such as cashmere or wool in warm beiges and cool and neutral colours. Refuge inspires us to rediscover nature with the natural tonalities of vegetable dyes, recycled materials from natural fibres and floral patterns. Under the theme Booster industry experts can look forward to retro-inspired colours, a nostalgic mood, jeans, vegan leather and patchwork. The colour palette in this category focuses on the contrast between pastel hues and bright colours inspired by Pop Art. The fabrics range from jersey to fuzzy fur, mesh and organza.

Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics will take place alongside Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles, Yarn Expo Autumn, CHIC and PH Value at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai from 25–27 August 2021.
