Frosty winter scenes and rough Tartan patterns, folklore in autumn colours and psychedelic perspectives - that is the vivid picture Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics paints of the season’s themes for denim this autumn and winter 2020/21 season. From 25th to 27th September 2019, “Beyond Denim”, which is divided into the areas “Serenity”, “Re-Made”, “Craft” and “New Age”, will demonstrate how varied the industry is. Jeans fabrics made from organic cotton, dyed with herbal dyes and decorated with jacquards, metallic reflecting PU coatings and recycled denim combined with Bedford Corduroy.
More than 140 international denim suppliers will present their products at the 25th edition of Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics. The number of exhibitors embracing responsible sourcing practices and minimising manufacturing waste as increased. Pakistani company Siddiqsons, for instance, will show stretch denim as well as Tencel jeans products. Rajby Textiles, also from Pakistan, will show its “Green Mystery” collection of Cradle2Cradle Gold certified denim fabrics. Bossa from Turkey unites more than one trend with its new collection, from velvety corduroy denims and coated fabrics to sustainable jeans. Orta Anadolu from Istanbul focuses on the “Craft” theme with its Halys Denim: red clay from the local river is used to create a unique texture and colour.
The autumn edition of Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry (CCPIT) and China Home Textile Association (CHTA). The show will take place at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai from 25th to 27th September 2019 alongside Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles, Yarn Expo Spring, PH Value and CHIC. Product area “Beyond Denim” will be located in hall 7.2.
