China is long known as a sourcing hub for the textile industry, but as wealthy households increase, the world’s most populous country is also gaining immense importance as an export market. That is why Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics is reserving two halls at the National Exhibition & Convention Center for international exhibitors at its edition from 25th to 27th September 2019. At the “Salon Europe”, fabric suppliers from Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, the United Kingdom and other countries will present their goods. In the centre of “Salon Europe”, the “Premium Wool Zone” brings together European high-end wool producers. At the “Verve for Design” area, international textile designers and design studios will be able to offer their expertise to trade visitors.
Considering the rising number of Chinese high-end designers looking for high-end fabrics, China is also an exciting market for overseas fabrics suppliers. According to McKinsey’s “China Luxury Report 2019”, 10.2 million of Chinese consumers of luxury goods were born in the 1980s and account for half of total luxury spending in China. This generation considers products of outstanding design and quality as status symbols and spends a large part of its income on high-end consumer goods at the peak of its career. The trade show will run from 25th to 27th September at the National Exhibition & Convention Center alongside Yarn Expo Autumn, CHIC and PH Value. Overseas exhibitors will be presenting at halls 4.1 and 5.1.
