September 2021

Good news from Frankfurt: Frankfurt Fashion Week is launching Val:ue, a supplementary market segment for quality and lifestyle fashion in the mainstream sector. From 18–20 January 2022, the new fair will provide a platform for future-relevant themes and innovative retailing for global brands, manufacturers, designers and buyers. Both leading global players and emerging labels will present trends for the coming season in the fields of menswear, womenswear, footwear, leather goods, accessories and lifestyle. Established fashion brands are rising to today's challenges: here, customer-orientated product developments, new logistics concepts, digitalisation and sustainability provide key impulses for a future-orientated transformation of the fashion industry. Claudia Franz, Director, Brand Management Apparel Fabrics & Fashion, Messe Frankfurt, says: “With Val:ue, we are creating a new, central meeting place for the fashion world’s global players within the framework of the Frankfurt Fashion Week. Now, firmly established retail brands from the quality mainstream segment have the chance to get together there and, against the background of first-class presentations of collection highlights, find answers to the urgent challenges generated by the process of transformation currently taking place in the sector. In other words, Val:ue is rounding off the Frankfurt Fashion Week by adding an extra market segment and ensuring complete coverage of the fashion spectrum.”

Sourcing meets sustainability: Val:ue rounds off Frankfurt Fashion Week by highlighting the latest changes in the supply chain and impulses for a sustainable transformation of the fashion industry. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, which target global social, economic and environmental action, will be a precondition for participation in the new trade show format from 2023. Innovative brands and retailers are invited to register online now in order to contribute to the transformation of the industry from the outset.
