June 2021

Only another six days to go: the first Frankfurt Fashion Week will be making its debut from 5-9 July 2021 – streamed live in the digital FFW STUDIO. The line-up of more than 72 hours is varied, informative and inspiring: in the four themed categories Tradeshows, Conferences, Game Changers and Beyond FFW, Frankfurt Fashion Week is pursuing the goal of joining forces with the fashion and lifestyle community to drive long-term change in the industry.

The Tradeshows category is providing an overview of internationally relevant fashion fairs Premium, Seek and Neonyt, which will be taking place under one roof from winter 2022, as well as giving insights into Messe Frankfurt’s Texpertise Network, which brings together the most important textile fairs worldwide. The three conferences “The New European Bauhaus – Werkstatt der Zukunft” organised by the Fashion Council Germany, the “Frankfurt Fashion SDG Summit” presented by Conscious Fashion Campaign in cooperation with the United Nations Office For Partnerships and the multidisciplinary “Fashionsustain” format by Neonyt will all offer important insights into the issues currently affecting the fashion industry with reference to the event’s overarching themes: sustainability and digitisation.

The Game Changers category will introduce central players who are heralding a new era of fashion: on 5 July at 8:30 pm, MCM will be live streaming the Germany premiere of “The Remix: Hip Hop x Fashion”, a documentary film showing how Misa Hylton and April Walker are making their voices heard in the male-dominated hip-hop industry. Another highlight: the official after-party hosted by Frankfurt Fashion Week’s official automotive partner CUPRA – in the CUPRA Music Labs, you can end the day with musical performances. Also represented: Closed with a film and interview with its owner Gordon Giers, Levi’s with a film on the correlation between sustainability, diversity and fashion and insights from Armedangels, Lanius, Veja, Shaping New Tomorrow any many more. And in the Beyond FFW category, you can find out what awaits visitors to Frankfurt Fashion Week in January 2022. SKTWK will be revealing what they have planned for 2022 in Frankfurt am Main and local Frankfurt-based stakeholders and creatives will also be organising independent city initiatives.

Something for everyone: you can find the varied line-up, which will be streamed in the FFW STUDIO from 5-9 July 2021, online at All contents will also be made available in the form of a series of on-demand videos on the FFW website.
