To change the future together is the goal of Frankfurt Fashion Week, which will take place digitally for the first time in the FFW STUDIO from 5th to 9th July 2021. An inevitable step in times of a great change, when technological progress has already started to revolutionise the whole world. In times when Artificial Intelligence (AI) is pushing creative processes, digital solutions are making supply chains traceable and big data and analytics are used to predict what customers will want and need in the future, it becomes clear that fashion and digitalisation are already inseparable. Leading stakeholders, experts from fashion, politics and retail as well as industry pioneers will be invited to take part in so-called future talks, deep dives, brand experiences and other interactive formats to exchange views and information about the most important future issues and their challenges and opportunities.
Over three days, live conference "Fashionsustain" will focus on digital transformation, virtual fashion and blockchains in fashion, all three being key issues in the fields of sustainability and innovation. There will be various panel discussions with relevant industry speakers like Patric Spethmann (COO, Marc O'Polo), Susanne Arnoldy (CIO Advisory, PwC), Esther Perbandt (founder and designer of Esther Perbandt), Lukas Pünder (co-founder and CEO, Retraced) and Marian von Rappard (owner of Dawn Denim). A further highlight is the "The New European Bauhaus - Werkstatt der Zukunft" conference, held by Fashion Council Germany at Frankfurt Fashion Week for the first time. The panel discussion "Reality through innovation and technology" with Matthew Drinkwater (Head of Innovation at London College of Fashion), Fabian Vogelsteller (CEO and founder of Lukso), Anna Franziska Michel (CEO and founder of Yoona) and Antje Hundhausen (Vice President at Deutsche Telekom) puts the spotlight on important aspects that could contribute to improving things in the fashion industry. Another highlight at the FFW STUDIO will be the "Fashion's future now" discussion hosted by US fashion journal WWD, in which moderator Miles Socha (WWD, International Editor) and guests Holger Max-Lang (President of Lectra, Northern and Eastern Europe and the Middle East) and Dirk Schönberger (MCM Global Creative Officer) will offer creative input, insight into brand stories and digital approaches.
The conference formats including the talks, panel discussions and keynote speeches are only a fraction of the varied programme offered at FFW STUDIO, which will be broadcast live at www.frankfurt.fashion from 5th to 8th July 2021. The complete Frankfurt Fashion Week programme will be soon made available on the event's website.
