The boundaries between people and technology are becoming blurred; memories from the past are being merged with future potentials and wild textures meet vibrant colours. At the upcoming Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics Autumn Edition, the Intertextile Directions Trend Forum will be presenting three key themes for the new season developed by trend experts from Milan, New York, Paris and Tokyo: “Fairy Tech”, “Classic Plus” and “Crossworld”.
Colour meets concrete. Soft meets hard. Cool, neutral tones meet clean pastel colours. Silky, ultra-light fabrics meet high-tech sporty styles. The “Fairy Tech” trend is adding a playful touch to the AW19 season.
“Classic Plus”, as the name suggests, is all about a sense of security and familiarity in turbulent times. Precious textured fabrics like warm cashmere, brushed mohair and high-quality alpaca blends are perfectly complemented by glazed, lacquered materials and protective, resistant technologies.
The “Crossworld” trend revolves around the discovery of a raw, unknown world. Fabric technology defends the individual wearer with reflective surfaces, chameleon effects, spectacular holograms and protective coatings.
As well as the international trend showcase, the Fabrics China Trend Forums will be providing further insights into the latest fabrics trends in China.
