News, news, news: Olaf Schmidt, Vice President Textiles and Textile Technologies at Messe Frankfurt, announces promising changes for the upcoming editions of the Ethical Fashion Show Berlin and the Greenshowroom (from 3 to 5 July 2018) and for the conference FashionSustain (3 July 2018): ““In the Greenshowroom, at the Ethical Fashion Show Berlin and at FashionSustain, we shall be bringing together visionary thinkers and entrepreneurs, who all have in common a love of fashion, a hugely innovative imagination and an accompanying sense of responsibility towards mankind and nature. The upcoming range of events in the Kraftwerk is as plentiful and varied as are the collections, projects and cooperative ventures that are being exhibited. Vvisitors can look forward to a number of exciting new developments.”
What we can already reveal: This time around, beauty brands will also feature alongside international fashion labels for the latest trends in street and urban wear, contemporary and high-fashion and accessories such as shoes, belts, bags and jewellery. Messe Frankfurt will also place a greater emphasis on the modern casual, urban vibe, craft and Greenshowroom fashion segments. The approach to the fashion show with showcased looks assembled and styled from the exhibitors’ collections is in order to create a new image of contemporary fashion.
The successful premiere of the conference FashionSustain and the associated Thinkathon will be carried forward. This time, the event for pioneers and industry experts in sustainable textile innovations will focus on sustainable leather and materials for shoes.
