Customisation, regionalisation, digitalisation and sustainability – from 23 to 25 July 2018 the trade fair trio Texworld USA, Apparel Sourcing USA and Home Textile Sourcing Expo will transform the Javits Convention Center, New York into a hotspot for the future of global sourcing. With more than 700 international exhibitors, Texworld USA and Apparel Sourcing USA are bigger than ever and a major platform for designers, textile buyers and developers. Both trade fairs cover the entire industry spectrum: from exhibitors of textiles and finishing services in over 15 categories to manufacturers of garments for men, women and children. At the same time, the Home Textiles Sourcing Expo taking place on 23 July 2018 showcases the current home textile trends in six categories: upholstery, bed, bathroom, table, window and floor.
The SPOTLIGHT area of Texworld USA focuses on the art of customisation and the associated findings, trims and accessories. None other than Jana Platina Phipps, a New York City-based expert known as the Trim Queen, will be conducting a hands-on customisation workshop. One of the highlights of the supporting programme is the North America Digital Textile Conference (NADTC), hosted by the World Textile Information Network (WTiN) on 24 July.
The Local Loft, a platform launched in collaboration with Fashiondex at Apparel Sourcing USA, is for regional and sustainable garment manufacturers, agents and service providers and was created specifically for regional buyers seeking smaller volumes of domestic and locally-sourced products.
Highlights of the Home Textiles Sourcing Expo include seminars on colour trends, sustainability and post-consumer recycling and on the influence of fashion trends on the home textile industry.
