Bringing sustainability to the shop floor is the next challenge. “More than ever before, multi-label fashion retail needs to reinvent itself,” says Thimo Schwenzfeier, Show Director of Neonyt.
Conventional retail therefore takes centre stage at the upcoming Neonyt. Sustainability has become a dominant megatrend in the textile and fashion industry and the transformation involves every stage of the textile supply chain, from the raw material to fashion retail. Organised by Messe Frankfurt, Neonyt will take place at Kraftwerk Berlin from 2 to 4 July. Here, the hub for fashion, sustainability and innovation will provide a marketing platform complete with an extensive supporting programme.
From sustainable buying and employer branding to strategic communication at the POS: In keynote speeches and talks, retail experts will address highly relevant topics and place these in the context of sustainability. During Fashion Week, the day will kick off with briefings and orientation over a complimentary Retail Breakfast organised by Neonyt. At the Retail Forum, Neonyt will be showing developments that help retailers seamlessly integrate sustainability into existing concepts. The analysis-based consultancy Facit will present the findings of a consumer survey it implemented for Neonyt. In a subsequent panel, Zalando will discuss how know-how can be transferred to a workforce. “As a mainstream fashion retailer, sustainability is a key topic for us in 2019. We are noticing our customers’ interest and want to do better. And Neonyt can help us with that. The noticeably younger audience and the technological aspect are making ecological fashion a central innovation topic,” says Marc Ramelow, managing partner of the Gustav Ramelow fashion chain store from Elmshorn in the north of Germany.
All panels and presentations will take place on Tuesday 2 and Wednesday 3 July at Kraftwerk Berlin and are embedded in the programme of the Neonyt conference formats Fashionimpact and Fashionsustain.
