The new location, even more international ecological fashion exhibitors and a new, future-oriented conference format ensured huge crowds of visitors, busy booths and a good atmosphere, exceeding the high expectations of Messe Frankfurt.
“Exciting, highly motivated labels, fantastic professional visitors and the widest range of topics we have seen so far: the summary after three days at Kraftwerk couldn’t be better. We have shown that sustainability and innovation are the topics currently motivating the fashion industry. If you didn’t make it to Kraftwerk, you definitely missed out!” said Olaf Schmidt, Vice President of Textiles and Textile Technologies at Messe Frankfurt. “With our new FashionSustain conference format and as a result of our cooperation with the Premium Group and their #Fashiontech conference & exhibitions, we have also found the perfect partner with whom to transform Kraftwerk into the hottest hub for the future of fashion.”
From innovative street styles at the Ethical Fashion Show Berlin to high fashion at the Greenshowroom – a total of 170 labels from 26 countries showcased their sustainable collections for the autumn/winter season 2018/19 at the two tradeshows for ecological fashion. With 61% of exhibitors coming from abroad, the Greenshowroom and Ethical Fashion Show Berlin were more international than ever before. Around 35% of the exhibitors were attending for the first time.
The catwalk show was packed full, without even any standing room left. The looks, curated by Claudia Hofmann, stylist and co-founder of the Fashion Council Germany, offered a preview of the upcoming autumn/winter season and wowed the audience of fashion professionals, which included countless representatives from retail, the industry and showbusiness.
