Attention to detail

From zippers and buttons to sustainable insulation material down to packaging and hangtags: at Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics from 25-27 September 2019, the “Accessories Vision” product zone will be presenting clothing accessories by 600 Chinese and international companies – and, for the first time, exhibitors from Cambodia and South Africa will also be represented.

July 2019

What’s the one thing that conveys the message of a brand and creates a harmonious and consistent image? Yes, that’s right: the details. The importance of the right choice of accessories is not to be underestimated in the fashion industry. Zippers, buttons and embellishments are important factors that indicate a garment’s quality to consumers, significantly influence the design and play a decisive role in smart branding. Around 600 exhibitors will be showing their attention to detail from 25-27 September 2019 in the “Accessories Vision” product zone in Hall 6.2 of Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics. At the 25th autumn edition of the international fair for apparel fabrics and accessories, companies from Cambodia and South Africa will be further diversifying the international exhibitor line-up.

Big player 3M is just one of the names returning to the National Exhibition and Convention Center this season. Back in the 1970s, the US company revolutionised the silhouette of winter fashion with its ultra-thin insulation material Thinsulate. And this autumn they are presenting a further development of the nonwoven fabric: a sustainable, animal-friendly alternative to down or synthetic fibre solutions, which is made from 100% recycled plastic. The topic of sustainability is not only concerning 3M, but also the entire industry: various companies will be showcasing their environmentally friendly innovations in the “Accessories Vision” zone. Taiwanese company Mitchell will be represented with biodegradable tag pins made of PLA (polylactic acid) and Italian manufacturer Mainetti will be showing its green packaging solutions.

The autumn edition of Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry – CCPIT and the China Home Textile Association (CHTA). The trade fair is taking place from 25-27 September 2019 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai – at the same time as Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles, Yarn Expo Spring, knitwear fair PH Value and clothing fair CHIC.
