In October it will finally happen. From 19th to 21st October 2021, Allfashion Sourcing Cape Town bring the entire industry together again, at The Lookout Venue V&A Waterfront in Cape Town. Visitors can look forward to local and international leather goods, footwear and clothing, this time with a strong focus on trend talks and fashion shows. Sustainability will play an important role at this year's edition, with products of South African manufacturers being at the centre of attention. Because local production, the use and sourcing of South African materials and the support of local artists contributes considerably to building a strong community and future generations and to protecting the environment. It also helps boost the country's economy. “It is important that we find innovative ways to help local companies market their brand to a targeted audience of potential buyers in a cost-effective – and safe – way,” says Kathryn Frew, show director at Allfashion Sourcing.
All products on showcase, whether it is ready-to-wear, underwear, home textiles or fabrics, will have a QR code that will put interested parties into direct contact with exhibitors, who cannot be at the trade show in person. “Local buyers can touch and feel a display of products without the presence of the exhibitor. Showroom and seminar content have been carefully crafted to enhance both the exhibitor and visitor experience,” says Frew.
Because of Covid-19 restrictions, there will be only a limited number of tickets available for the live event, admission will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registration for the online event is open now.
