August 2020
In March this year, Messe Frankfurt announced plans to rebrand ATF Expo and Source Africa and give the trade shows a new look. The resulting new trade show was originally scheduled to debut in the Cape Town International Convention Center. Due to continuing travelling and contact restrictions, the organisers were forced to postpone the event. Now, interested parties are offered the opportunity to network on a digital platform from 13th to 15th October 2020. “The online event will serve as an alternative platform for manufacturers to continuously connect and network with buyers as well as keep their presence in the global market,” says Kathryn Frew, Show Director of Allfashion Sourcing Cape Town.
Visitors benefit from an extensive online offer: AR-based matchmaking tool calculations find relevant exhibitors and puts them into contact with interested visitors. These, however, can also use the personalised exhibitor website themselves to browse through and find detailed information about all suppliers. The virtual edition of Allfashion Sourcing Cape Town offers various ways to network and exchange information – there are video calls, live seminars and chats. Messe Frankfurt will extend the time of the trade show and give the industry enough time to meet in a digital space by leaving the platform online for another three months after the event finishes in October. Interested parties will shortly be able to register with the event for free.
