Industry 4.0, micro-factories and smart IT solutions for a supply management fit for the future: digital textile technologies are gaining ground. In India, the second-largest exporter of textiles and apparel worldwide, integrated automation is in full swing. Thanks to pioneering production technologies and machines, manufacturers are able to increase their capacities locally. The industry is booming: the manufacturing sector is witnessing annual growth rates of 8 to 10 per cent. This upturn will be in evidence at the trade show Gartex Texprocess India (10–12 August 2019, New Delhi).
With the fusion of the textile trade shows Texprocess India and Gartex India, organisers Messe Frankfurt India and MEX Exhibitions are bundling their expertise. The aim of the collaboration is to create a new trade show that offers visitors all the relevant products and services from one source and which represents the entire textile supply chain from raw material to finished product. In all this, the focus on textile and apparel manufacturing will remain, while the range of themes will be enhanced by the merger of the two shows.
Texprocess is the leading international trade show for the processing of textile and flexible materials. It takes place every two years and runs concurrently with Techtextil India in Mumbai. Gartex India places a focus on the segments innerwear, the Denim & Laundry show, digital textile printing and embroidery technologies.
